Wellington, Saturday. Lieut.-Colonel Goring, who went to Europe a short time back to undergo an operation for the restoration of his sight, writes to a friend here that a third operation to bis right eye has been performed with success at Wiesbaden by a German specialist, Professor Pagen.«tucker, and his Bight has been restored to him. He can now read and write with freedom, and proposed returning to the colony by the Aorangi. His left eye is also improving slowly.
