BANQUET TO THE HON. J. McKENZIE.

[BY TELEGRAPH.— ASSOCIATION.] Greymouth, Friday. A baxquet was tendered to the Hon. Mr. McKenzie to-day, by the local bodies and citizens. There was nothing of moment in the Minister's speech. He spoke favourably of the future of the Coast, as it contained a great deal of land well adapted for settlement. It might not grow a wheat crop, bat would do well in pasture. It would be his aim to do all in his power to place people on the land. Over 70 persons sat down. It was a moss harmonious affair.
