Opera' tions have been resumed in the* May Queen section, but the extension of the drive at No, 6 level, in the' Saxon section, upon the course of the' new reef, will not be started until the new poppets over the fthat'b are completed. These, it was thought, would have been easily completed by Saturday next, bub heavy rain set in this morning, and has continued all day, which will have the effect of throwing the work back a bit. ;/ ...| . , .) fl MINE MANAGERS REPORTS. ,-r Acme.- the past week we have ' driven a distance of five feet. A leader, six inches wide running east and west, was cub through last night. The country is improv- ' ing for working and is not unfavourable for gold. The hands have been employed for three days only during the week, and work will be resumed on Thursday next.
