CABINET MEETING.
[by telegraph.—own correspondent.] Wellington, Monday. The Ministers met in Cabinet this morning and sat during the whole of tho forenoon. Nothing has transpired as to the proceedings. Tho Cabinet will sib regularly for some days to consider several important matters held over from the last Parliament. For instance, the Midland Railway Company's proposals, the representation of New Zealand at the approaching Canadian Conference, the revision of Bills in preparation for next session, and other business.
