He is also the sire of Cloister, winner of the last Liverpool Grand National Steopleehase. Paddy's Land's dam Maymom by Old Victor (winner of the Royal Hunt Cup at Ascot, and got by Vindex, by Touchstone); granddam Lady Norah, by Mount Zion (by Mountain Deer, by Touchstone out of Devotion; by Harkaway); g granddam Polly, by Arthur (by Sir Hercules out of Angelica, by Sir Harry Dunsdale); g. g. granddam by Whalebona. It will be seen by the above that Paddy's Land combines some of the stoutest strains of blood in the world, and from his size, strength, action, and quality he ought to make a sire tit to get horses for the racecourse, hunting field, or for Indian or town purposes.
