POUND DROWNED IN MANGAPIKO CREEK.
The police authorities received information on Saturday that John Keane, a lad 16 years of age, was drowned in the Mangapiko Creek, 15 miles inland from Churchill, on Toursday evening by falling from the stern of a boat. Constable White, of Rangiriri, was to proceed to the locality to arrange for an inquest.
