PROFESSOR ALDIS AND THE UNIVERSITY COUNCIL.
TO THE EDITOR. Sib, —Kindly permit me to inform your correspondents, ISdwin Cox and Charles Kelsey, that they have written under a misapprehension, as I am in no way connected with the University, nor have I written under the dictation of any person. Being a loyal colonist, and contributor to the revenue which maintains the University College, I have felt, in common with many others, that the late conduct of the Professor of Mathematics is not in harmony with the dignified position he occupies.—l am, etc., R.A.P.
