PROFESSOR ALDIS AND THE COLLEGE COUNCIL.

TO THE EDITOR.

Sir,— the other of " the two writers"—. to whom " R.A.P." refers—will you allow me to ask him to sign his real name to any further communications he may make on this subject. Then his letters may have more (or less) weight than the last. It is not very brave or manly attacking, or writing; against a man over initials ; and it is rather significant that in nearly letter written against the Professor the writers have apparently been ashamed of their names appearing, a course of action which seems to emulate the gentry who shoot their opponents from behind stone walls— they are quite safe. " R.A.P. V letter may be "the voice" of "R.A.P.," but I have a suspicion that "the baud is the hand of Esau." The Professor is now battling for justice for himself, just as he has ever been ready to do for others, and I trust he may yet be successful. I will not further trespass on your space, as Mr. Cox's letter, in this morning's issue, admirably covers all the ground.—l am, etc., Charles K.ELSEY. Ellerslie, September 13th,
