SUDDEN DEATH AT HAMILTON.
[by TELEGRAPH. — OWN correspondent.] Hamilton, Wednesday. A remarkably sudden death occurred here at a quarter to nine o'clock last evening. Mr. Thomas Chapman, building contractor, was just leaving the office of Mr. T. H. White, architect, when he fell down, and, after giving one or two gasps, expired. Dr. Brewis was at once called in, but could do nothing, as death had been instantaneous. An inquest was held to-day before Mr. W. N. Searancke, coroner, when a verdict of death from heart disease was returned. Deceased was a resident of Ohaupo, but has been in Hamilton latterly, putting up a house for Mr. Hattrick, in Hood-street, where he was working all day yesterday, apparently in the best of health.
