At a meeting of tho Liberal Labour and Electoral Conference to-night it was decided that two questions be submitted to candidates for tho city of Wellington ab the forthcoming general election, to tho following effect: —l. Have you agreed to submit your name to tho Liberal Convention which is selecting candidates for the city of Wellington? '2. In tho event of not being .-elected a candidate at the final ballot, will you pledge yourself not to conlee the city election ? Each candidate is to be asked to reply in writing, and any Minlidate sending in unsatisfactory answers nay be rejected on resolution by tho condition.
