Press Association.—Electric Tfletfraph.—Copyright Washington, Ah gust 22. The financial crisis is passing, and many of the large works are resuming operations. The Secretary of the Treasury state* it would cost one hundred and thirteen million dollars to re-coin the currency at the proposed ratio of 20 to 1. Supporters of silver are unable to reply to this statement. The Senate has appointed Mr. Bland chairman of the Coinage Committee. Thirteen hundred Boards of Trade in cities of the United States are in favour of the'repeal of the Sherman Act.
