London, August 3. Mr. 11. McNab, manager of the London office of the Dunk of New Zealand, retires. Ho will be succeeded by Mr. C. Tegetmeier, the present secretary of the London branch.
In his speech at the Bank of New Zealand meeting, the Chairman, Mr. Glyn, said the money withdrawn during the bank panic did not amount to a. hundred pounds. New Zealand was the only country south of the Equator whose budget showed a surplus.
Mr. McNab is the oldest, officer on the Bank's staff. He is well known and highly respected in Auckland, where, for soma time, he filled the position of accountant when the head office whs in the colony. He was entitled to hid pension some years since, and would have retired then, but at the request of the Board has, up to the present time, retained the position of manager of the London office.
