THE GOVERNMENT AND THE GOLDFIELDS.

At the monthly meeting of the Ohinemuri County Council, held yesterday, the Government was subjected to severe criticism, for its neglect of goldfields interests. It was considered by councillors that the main roads, which are chiefly through native lands, should be maintained at the cost of the colony.
