News from Bangkok states that the mission of the French Admiral in Siara lias so far been of a peaceful character. Paris, June 30. It is believed that mines have been laid in the river at Bangkok. It is alleged the French colonists in Further India have grossly misled the Government, and that the dispute could be easily settled. London, June 30. ' Sir E. Grey, Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs, replying to a question in the House of Commons, said a warship was stationed at Bangkok to protect British interests, and others were being got ready to proceed there,
