SECRETS OF THE MILK TRADE.
[BY TELEGRAPH. press ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Wednesday. T. Osborne, proprietor of a milk establishment at which a strike occurred recently, brought an action against a number of men for damages, and the men brought cross actions for wage*. The interesting part of the evidence was that in which the men swore that 348 gallons of milk were sent out daily, while only 200 came. Milk was manufactured for sale by adding water, saltpetre, salt, etc. One witness, a cusbo mer, said he had noticed that Osborne's milk seemed to act more favourably upon his child than that from other dairies. His Worship remarked that it might be on account of its medical qualities. The case was not finished to-day.
