THE DEATH OF TE KOOTI.
[er. TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Tauranga, Wednesday. The news of To Kooti's death at Ohiwa last night has been received with inbenso interest by the local natives. He was well-known here, and on his last visit was made a particular object of cariosity both by natives and Europeans. His death, although sudden, was not at all unexpected, as he had been in a failing stato ever since ho came through from tho Waikato, bu"; his Jabo buggy accident no doubb accelerated his end.
