The shares of the London Chartered Bank of Australia are quoted at £7. London, April 18. The quotations for the London Chartered Bank of Australia shares closed at £8 10s yesterday. Sir J. F. Unrrick, who was interviewed with the full concurrence of the other members of the Board of Directors, said that the fall in shares was due to uneasiness, owing to the liability of shareholders to future calls. The bank was amply provided against all contingencies without trenching on tho reserve, -which mainly consisted of consols. Melbourne, April 18. During the week the Post Office Savings Bank deposits have increased £90,000. ■
