WELLINGTON HOSPITAL STATISTICS.
[BT TKI.KOftAPM. — PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Tuesday. The hospital returns show that there were in the institution on the 31st March, 1892, 144 patients, and that, during the year, 951 more wore admitted, tho total under treat. ment having boen 1095. Of these, 905 were discharged, 70 died, and 120 remained in the hospital on tho 31st March last. These patients collectively stayed 46,150 days in the hospital. Tho cost of supplying 102 persons with groceries, meat, bread, fish, vegetable-, and milk for tho last quarter of 1384 was £849 ; while in the same quarter of 1892, the trustees supplied 105 persons with the same necessaries for £632. Tho cost of wine and spirits for tho same period was £168 and £32 respectively.
