WELLINGTON GAS COMPANY AND THE ELECTRIC LIGHT.
[by TELEGRAPH.— ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Friday. The directors of the Wellington Gas Company have resolved bo amend their memorandum of association, so as to give thorn power to supply electric light to those requiring it. They consider that when the loss of generating a supply from the central station is taken into account, they will be able to supply thoir customers by separate installations in a much more satisfactory manner and at a less coat than can be done from any other source, so soon as the necessary arrangements are completed.
