AMATEUR CYCLISTS AND CASH PRIZES.
[by telegraph.— association. J Christoiiurcii, Wednesday. A meeting was held to-night to consider the advisabloness of forming a governing body in the interests of cash amateur cycling. Delegates from the New Zealand Cash Amateur Bicycle Club, the North Otago Bicycle Club, the Porowhiti (Christchurch) Bicycle Club, the Ariel (Ashburton) Bicycle Club, the Bicycle Touring Club, and the Dunaandal Bicycle Club, were present. It was decided to form a union, to be called the New Zealand Cyclists Union. The Melbourne Bicycle Club's definition of the term " amateur" was adopted, after a long discussion.
