The agents of tho Midland Railway Company have offered to take a guarantee of throo per cenb. on half a million, and debentures for £618,000, with a release from the obligation to carry the line from Reefbon to Motueka, in settlement of their differences with the Government of the colony. As a new contract will have to be be made, the company are willing to make the line from Foxhill to Motueka Valley.
