AQUATICS.
OPENING OF THE SEASON AT NELSON. Nelson, Saturday.—The boating season was opened this afteruoon, the weather being perfect. The Nelson and Wakatu clubs each sent out a number of boats, and the Naval Brigade a launch. The Aurora, wit,h the Garrison Band on board, preceded the procession up and down the harbour. The boats were in line and in file, and a number of sailing boats with a few yachts and small steamers followed.
