BROKEN HILL STRIKE.

THE CONSPIRACY CASES. Press Association.— Telegraph.— Sydney, October 31. The Herald supports the verdict given in the conspiracy cases. The Telegraph applauds the verdict, which it says is a complete justification of the action of the Government in connection with the arrests. The verdict and sentences have aroused a very bitter feeling in unionist circles, and the leaders assert it will cause an agitation of ' greater magnitude than any that has yet taken place in the colonies. At Broken Hill on Saturday night seven men were arrested for riotous behaviour, and 29 for various offences, ranging from assaulting the police to drunkenness.
