RECREATION GROUND FOR PONSONBY.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, Auckland has done something for the owners of the Surrey Hills estate. Cannot they reciprocate by doing something for Ponsonby in the way of giving a piece of level land for recreation purposes in the district, or at least letting the residents have the use of a fixed area until it is wanted. Perhaps those who are anxious to save their younj? people's constitutions will try what an appeal will do. It may surprise them.— am, etc., M.
