There is some uneasiness in Paris at a report that the Dahomey expedition was overwhelmed aud massacred by twenty thousand natives at Couloupa. The report, however, is not confirmed, and at present is nothing but a rumour. It is believed that the allegations by French officers in Dahomey that Germans are assisting the natives will be the cause of a Franco-German difficulty.
