SERIOUS ILLNESS OF THE HON. J. McKENZIE.
[BY TELEGRAPH, OWN CORRESPONDENT. J Wellington, Monday. I regret to have to announce the somewhat dangerous illness of the Hon. J. Mc ! \eti?.ie. He had been ailing for some time, but it whs assumed that he was suffering from the effect of Parliamentary worry. His condition up to this morning did not show serious symptoms. This morning, however, medical assistance was suddenly called in, when it was found he had broken a bloodvessel. I have since learnt that the hemorrhage has been internal, and very considerable, so much so as to cause some alarm. I have also been informed that lie is now considered out of danger. He will, however, be for a week or two confined to his room. Mrs. Mckenzie and Miss McKonzie are in attendance on him.
