Spring Meeting the weather was threatening. The attendance was poor. Lords Hopetoun and Jersey and suites were again present. The following are the details of the racing:— The Second Hurdle Race, a handicap sweepstakes of saovs each, with 200sovs added. The owner of the second horse to receive SOsova from the prize. On entering the straight Bungebah and Autonomy were at the head of affairs, but the latter had to be ridden to keep his place, and as the post was neared, the straight-legged chestnut drew out, and won rather easily by two lengths.
