THE DORIC. Port Chalmers, July 27.—The Shaw, Savill, and Albion Co. s steamer Doric, which arrived off the Heads last evening early, arrived at the wharf to-night. She left Plymouth on Juue 13, called at Teneriffe, Capetown, and Hobart. Her passage was uneventful. She brings 88 passengers, 10 bags and 3 packets mails, 19 boxes parcel post, and 3090 tons cargo, of which 1217 tons is for Otago, 850 Lyttelton, and 757 Wellington. SHIPPING RETURNS. Wellington, August 5.— number of vessels entered inwards for the June quarter was 160 vessels, with an aggregate tonnage of 148,379, as against 171 vessels, with 140,843 tons in the June quarter of last year. The number of outward-bound vessels were 177, with (57,0:36 tons, as against 193 vessels, with 162,508 tons for the corresponding quarter of lust year.
