The usual social of the Caledonian Society took place last evening at the Forester's Hall. There was a good attendance. - Mr. Geo. Johnstone presided. The following programme was gone through with acceptance Pianoforte duet, Misses Johnstone; dust, *' Far Away," Misses little Highland fling, Miss and Master Johnstone (encored); pianoforte duet; Master Taylor; recitation, " The Outlaw," Mr. R. Sandall; pianoforte solo, Miss Muldoon. Songs: " Mother's My Sweetheart," Mr. Coleman; '' Kissing Gods By - Favour," Miss S&ndail; "John Crumbly," Mr, W. J.. Lennox; " Remember -or • Forget," Miss • Hyamx; "A Cheer For the Army and Navy," Mr. Anscombe; " What Shall I Say?" Miss Little /(encored); " Some Day Til 5 Wander Back Again," Miss Little. "Auld Langj Syne" was then sung by the company. The accompanists were Misses Little, Johnstone, and Mr. England. At the after j social dance there were 50 couples, and Mr. | George Johnstone officiated as M.C. ~
