Melbourne, July 13. In the House of Assembly, Sir Graham .Berry announced that the increased duties on wines, beer, and spirits are expected to realise £200,000 per year.

VICTORIAN AGENT-GENERAL : S LAND TRANSACTIONS.
Melbourne, July 13. Mr. J. Munro, Agent-General in London, when in the colony acted as trustee to the Larose estates, which he sold for £25,000. The estates were subsequently re-purchased by the Real Estates Bank for £54,000. The legatees have issued a writ against the trustees for alleged breach of trust, claiming £25,000 damages. There is a likelihood of Mr. Munro being requested to return to explain his connection with the matter.
