FLOODS AT OPOTIKI.
[BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN COJU'.rcsi'OXDF.NT.] Ofotiici, Wednesday, We have had the worst flood for twenty year?. The Waioeka Bridge is seriously damaged and impassable. Most of the valley was under water at mid-day yesterday. Several hundred sheep are lost. In the township the principal streets were flooded, and the water was over a foot deep in most of t.he stores. umbers of families had to leave their houses. The worst was past at sunset, and the water is fast going down. A telegraph post was washed away, bub communication is now restored.
