NARROW ESCAPE OF LOUD SALISBURY.
Prut Association.—Electric Telegraph.—Copyright, London - , May 25. The Marquis of Salisbury had a marvellous escape from serious injury today. He was driving in Piccadilly when his carriage capsized, and was smashed up. The coachman was injured, but the Premier escaped unhurt. This is the second escape which the Premier has bad within little more than a month. On April 4 he was in peril of a terrible accident. He was crossing Bridgestreet to the Clock Tower entrance to Parliament, when a hansom cab dashed off right on his track. In tiie cab whs the chief agent of the Tory party, who had just entered it from his office in St. Stephen's Chambers. Perceiving the Premier's danger, he jumped up, seized the reins in the middle, and pulled the horse back on its haunches. Otherwise Lord Salisbury would have been knocked down and run over. Happily his lordship was untouohed and unhurt.
