MR. GLADSTONE AND LORD HARTINGTON.
DISGRACEFUL TACTICS. Press Association. Telegraph.— London, February 25. The Times says that Mr. Gladstone inspired the editor of the Speaker to impeach the loyalty of the Marquis of Hartington (now Duke of Devonshire) during the crisis of 1880, and remarks that a worse attempt to stab an opponent has not occurred of late years.
