Following up their success on Mount Earnshaw, the Ross Brothers, accompanied by Harry Hirley, made an expedition to the summit of the Remarkables, and successfully accomplished their task. The laab portion of the ascent ie over very steep rocks, and has hitherto been regarded as impracticable. .James Bassett, coach painter, of Auckland, who was. absolutely cured of eczema by Hitchens's celebrated blood restorer after the doctors had failed; says "I thank God I was sent to Mr. Kitchens, or to-day I might have been a burden to my friends or the colony, if not in my grave." 17
