OHINEMURI COUNTY COUNCIL.
[BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. J Pakroa, Monday. AT the Ohinemuri County Council on Saturday, it was agreed to proceed with the de : viation road from Owharoa to Waitekauri bridge, at a cost of £."OT. The resignation of Mr. Shaw as forest ranger was accepted, and Mr. William Fagan was appointed in his place. It is intended to proceed against certain companies who are believed to have cut unpaid-for timber. Mr. Gows was the successful contractor for the road to the Crown plant at £48. A traffic bridge is to be erected on the Ohinemuii river opposite the Crown plant, costing about £500, the Government finding £350. The right of the pound is to be sold by auction at Messrs. I leming'a next sale. _________________
