The anniversary of the birth of Robert Burns was to-night celebrated by the local Burns Club in the shapo of a concert, supper, and dance, which, notwithstanding the inclemency of the weather, was largely attended. Captain Farquhar, president of the Club, presided, and in the course of an interesting address referred to the universality and breadth of the genius of Burns, his enlightened opinions, and his warm human sympathies.
