Ike chairman of the benevolent institution, at a meeting to-day, referrad to the complaints made respecting this colony's legislation ro charitable aid. Great complaint/!, he admitted, were made against its, and he remarked that a Royal Commission in Victoria, which had been investigating the question for two years there, lately recommended the Government to initiate legislation in the direction of our present Charitable Aid Act.
