THE WRECK OF THE FIJI. Melbourne, September 25. : The Marine Court found the captain l of the barque Fiji, which was wrecked with considerable loss of life on the Victorian coast, guilty of gross misconduct, and suspended his certificate for 12 months. DROWNED AT SEA. Hobart, September 25. Air. Marsden, fourth officer of the Union Company's steamer Wairarapa, fell overboard when the vessel was ofl Cape Raoul while on the voyage from Melbourne, and was drowned. [Air. G. F. Marsden was a young man about 20 years of age, and hails from Hobarfc. He was a smart officer, and hold a master's certificate.] INTERTRIBAL WARFARE. Sydney, September 25. News from the New Hebrides states . that head hunting is carried on at ' Tanna Island, one of the group, and most revolting atrocities are perpetrated on each other by the tribes at war. So far the whites have not been interfered with, though their position is an unenviable one, as bullets are constantly flying about.
