VICTORIA HI FLICS. The third and final competition for Messrs. Garlick and Cranwell's prizes took place on Saturday last, when Volunteer M. Fairs was the successful competitor in the first class (winning the bassinette), and Volunteer James Preston in the second (winning the easy chair). DARGAVILLK R.O. V. CITV GUARDS. A friendly shooting match took place on Saturday between the Dargavillo Rifle Club and tho City Guards. Teams of 10 men each, five rounds at 200, 300, 400, and 500 yards, each team firing on its own range. At the Mount Eden range there was a strong westerly wind blowing, whioh materially affected the shooting. Below are the scores of the City Guards team. Only nine men fired.
