ADVENTUROUS JOURNEY ON A BICYCLE.

Baron Kellkskraijss, a captain in the Kovno regiment of artillery, who for the lastfour months has been touring on a bicycle through Franco, Spain, Morocco, Algeria, Italy, Austria, (jlermany, Poland, and Russia, has arrived in St. Petersburg, after a journey full of strange adventures. He was accompanied throughout his long ride by a favourite dog. The intrepid wheelman, who has covered altogether five thousand kilometres, or more than throe thousand miles, seems greatly exhausted by the fatigue he has undergone, and is some 201b lighter than when he started, but he is otherwise none the worse for his protracted exertions. In the coure of his expedition he had to endure many privations, and was at one time laid up with an illness which lasted six weeks. The rate at which lie travelled varied from SO to GO miles a day, according to the state of the weather and the condition of the roads.
