CLASS TAXATION.

_ TO TJIK EDITOR. Sir,—l notice by the newspapers that the Premier of the colony intends to still retain the property tax for another year. The most of our Liberal members when elected pledged themselves to use their utmost endeavours to do away with the property tax. The public are entitled to have a fresh': valuation of property every three years, and the proposal to continue the tax for this year means running into the fourth, winch ia an infringement, 1 believe, of the property tax law. Therefore,. Mr, .Editor, I consider that the public are entitled to a new valuation before they can be called upon to pay another year's property tax,—l am, &c,, Liberal.
