The weather of late, although cold, has been clear and bright, with frosts and occasional showers, and has checked the growth of grass but i with ■ tho splendid * autumn, feed was well established all throughout the disdistrict, and the turnip crops are of much larger area ■ find ■. of heavier crops I than ! my previous season, so that owners of stock will have nothing to fear on the score. of scarcity of feed, and tho returns from wool crop should be very heavy and increase more than last season, owing to the stock being well kept and in good condition. Turnip crops are ■ being fed off rapidly, and wethers sent regularly by rail to Wellington for < export, aa many as 6000 heavy-weights being i sent from one railway station during the week, and I predict a • Rood turn-over for all who have enliicr dealt in stock or produced them this season.
