GRAND JURIES.
[BV T3&EGRATH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.]
Dunedin, Monday. Itf place of a presentment tho foreman of the Grand Jury said there was a feeling among the grand jurors thab such a body was no use. Mr, Justice Williams, while admitting that a good deal might be said in favour of that view regarding them, said tho institution had stood tho test of over a hundred years' experience in the United States, and while uiany reforms had been obtained in that progressive country this institution had remained untouched, wherefore it must possess somo intrinsic merit.
