ARRIVALS AND DEPARTURES.
[BY telegraph. —press ASSOCIATION.] Wellington", Thursday. ..Thk immigration and J emigration returns for the colony for April show arrivals to have been 1045 and departures 1656, leaving a balance of 611 against the colony. The chief arrivals were:—From New South Wales, 590; Victoria, 262 United Kingdom, 97. The departures were :—To New South Wales. 813 ; Victoria, 355 ; United Kingdom, 226 ; Tasmania, 60. Two Chinese arrived and one left during the month.
