THE VERNEY SCANDAL.
ACCUSED COMMITTED FOR TRIAL. BAIL FIXED AT £15,000. Press Association,—Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. London, April 30. Further evidence in support of the charge against Captain - Verney was taken to-day, and accused was committed for trial. The Court fixed the bail at £15,000, and as Captain Verney succeeded in getting sureties for this amount he was liberated.
