Tho will of the late engineer Mr. Nathaniel Clayton, of the firm of Clayton and Shuttleworth, who died last December, has been proved, the gross personal estate being sworn at £1,304,416. At a meeting of the directors of the Mokohinui Coal Company it was decided to abandon the steamer Lawrence to the underwriters. B. M. Murphy, formerly a purser in the Union Company's boats, the last vessel he was on being the Takapima, died at Christchurch on Wednesday.
