The Hon. the Defence Minister left for Auckland to-day by train. Mr. Cadman leaves for the North to-morrow in consequence of the death of his sister. THE PUBLIC TRUST COMMISSION. The Commissioners had not sent in their interim report this afternoon. Nothing else is talked of just now. Several stories are told circumstantially, but it would be in the last degree dangerous, as well as unjust, to publish them.
