INSPECTION OF DAIRIES.
[BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Ciikistchuroh, Monday. The Mayors of Christchurch, Sydenham, and a representative of St. Alban's Borough, waited on the Hon. W. P; Reeves to-day, requesting that the Government would introduce a measure to enable the local bodies in Chriatchurch drainage district to combine for procuring the most efficient inspection of dairies and slaughterhouses. The Minister promised to consult the Colonial Secretary, and said if the members for Christchurch brought in a Bill on the subject, the Government, if convinced of its necessity, would possibly be able to facilitate its passing.
