RIFLE MATCH AT ARATAPU.

A rifle match between Aratapu and Kopuru came off last Saturday on the Aratapu range. There were ten men a-side, and the ranges fired from were 200, 300, and 400 yards. The firing from the longer range did not follow because it had become too dark. Our boys were successful and defeated Kopuru by 30 points. The latter went to pieces at the 400 yards range. Mr. J. A. \Valker made the beat score of the match. The,following were the scores :— Akatapc.— J. A. Walker, 55 ;T. fteild, 43 ; W. J. Woods, 45 ; S. Webb, 44; S. Edmonds, 34; F. Wilson, 43; N. Scott, 40; J. McNaughton, 39; T. Bassett, 40; E. Bassett, 40. Total, 423. Kopuru.—G. Little, 47; C. Molloy, 44; Joe Molloy, 35 ; W. M. Woodhead, 45 ; J. Lindley, V 39; J. Morphett, 27; F.
