Hector said that some few points in the regulations for law examination required amendment. Tho income of the. Univer- | sity for 1890 had been £5797. and'there was a balance in hand of £592. The Educational Institute had forwarded a resolution asking that as before ISBS ; teachers of certain standing should be admitted to degrees examination without attendance at lectures, but no new arguments were advanced in favour of the application. He recommended the reconsideration • of the statute re medical examinations, as .the present time of these examinations was ( found inconvenient. Ho suggested that surgery diplomas be worded so as .to confer a definite status upon the recipient, as in their present form they could nob be registered by the Registrar's .seal. .>
